After that, type the ‘cmd’ into the Windows search bar and then open a command prompt by right-clicking and choose the option “Run as Administrator.”

Now, you need to type ‘netsh WLAN set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid= key= ’ into the window. Then you must replace the “My-Network” & “My-Password” with a new one. Now simply press enter to continue.

Then a new string of text has appeared, now type in “netsh WLAN start hostednetwork” and then press enter. A message will appear that confirms that a hosted network has been started.

In case you didn't get the confirmation message in that case, update the network adapter drivers or troubleshoot it. Else you may also skip this step.

Then navigate to Control Panel>Network and Internet>Network Connections. Search & find the name of the connection that was just created by simply using the name that was earlier typed into the command prompt window.

On the same window, you need to right-click on the VPN network connection & choose the Properties. In the sharing tab, check both the "Allow other network users…" boxes.

Then, choose the name of the connection that was just created in the drop-down menu in the Home networking connection.

Now, click on the OK button.

Choose the network with Roku

You need to turn on the Roku and move to the Home screen. Then open up the Settings menu and choose the Network option.

After that you need to Go to Wireless. From there, you must choose the option ‘Set up new WiFi connection’.

Now choose the name of the WiFi network that was just created & connect to it.
